Prepare Your Neighborhood
Neighborhoods that are prepared for emergencies and disaster save lives, reduce the severity of injuries and trauma and limit property damage.
Being able to contribute as individuals, and working as neighborhood teams will develop stronger, safer communities.
Disasters can strike anywhere and at anytime. Traditional 911 and first responders such as fire, police, and emergency medical services will be overwhelmed and unable to immediately assist individuals.
Neighbors who are trained (you included), are more effective and self-assured in response to a disaster.
Learning who your neighbors are builds trust, understanding, and tolerance—qualities we all could use more of. Start today, go say Hi to your neighbors!
